The partidos for Gran Buenos Aires (GBA) don't seem to match up completely with Census 2010 for Argentina. One example is partido Morón. It is broken into 3 partidos (Morón, Hurlingham, and Ituzaingó) on wikipedia and anywhere else I search for the GBA partidos. There are other examples too such as General Sarmiento being 3 partidos in other sources. They also seem to be generally shifted based on comparing the shapes to the Reference/World_Boundaries_and_Places layer of http://services.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/services.
I need to use the shapes in a shapefile to join to census data so I can't just use the webservice. If there is another official source, that would be helpful too.
Thanks!
Adm 2 for Gran Buenos Aires
Hello,
You can download updated adm2 boundaries for Argentina from here
http://www.aeroterra.com/d-argentinagral.htm
I found that these boundaries are a good match for the 2001 and 2010 censuses. You can also contact costumer services at INDEC (ces@indec.mecon.gov.ar).
Hope this helps,
